Senior Building Science Specialist/Project Engineer
Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) is seeking a highly motivated and qualified employee to join our fast-paced team of specialists and engineers. Responsibilities include design development consultation, plan and specification review, on-site quality assurance observations and reporting, client training, and building performance field testing (air barriers, fenestrations, curtain walls, etc.) for new construction and major renovation of commercial/institutional/government building enclosures. Previous building envelope design/consulting experience or forensic investigations of roofs, facades, fenestrations, curtain walls, plaza decks, and below grade waterproofing system is a plus. This position requires building and maintaining client relationships, including independent client interaction and consulting with design and construction professionals.
The optimal applicant will thrive in a rapidly changing environment and enjoys working on multiple projects, both in the field and in the office. Position includes both leading, and at times being a member of company project teams. Verbal and written communication skill are key competencies. Some regional and national travel required.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Bachelor of Arts in Architecture or Construction Management. Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is a plus, but not required. A minimum 4+ years of experience in the applicable field is mandatory.

Technician I or II
Pie Consulting & Engineering (Pie) is seeking a personable, articulate and highly organized individual to join our Building Science Group in a unique and diverse full-time position. Responsibilities include equipment logistics/tracking, technician level field support to our engineering staff, and independent field testing. Position will also include assisting our sales and estimating staff with project opportunity searching and proposal preparation.
Candidate must be a team player who has excellent writing and verbal communication skills, be proactive in communicating with clients and team members, and provide accurate, high-quality work. Some regional and national travel required.
Requirements:
Strong computer skills and established experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.). The ability to lift 75 lbs. as part of the equipment logistics and field testing responsibilities. A basic understanding of construction documents (plans and specifications) as well as previous construction related field and/or cost estimating experience is preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate who is willing to learn. Associates degree in construction management, cost estimating or related field is also a plus.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Electrical Engineer
